About this listen

I've been in love with my best friend for years. The problem? He thinks I'm straight.

Now that I share a dorm with him, his insistent need to cuddle—and lack of clothes—are blurring the careful lines I've drawn. I'm struggling to keep my defenses up.

I love him, but I'm afraid. Afraid I'm not enough to make him stay. Afraid he'll rip my heart out. Afraid he won't love me back. But I see a side of him no one else does. In the security of our room, he lets his mask fall, lets me hold him.

Something lurks in the dark recesses of his mind that keeps him from going all in. He's just as hesitant about this as I am, but I don't understand why.

Can I convince him to let me love him the way he deserves… or will he take my heart and run away with it?

Haven't started the series yet? Listen to Hidden Scars first.

That boy needs therapy!

I loved Brandon and Paul’s story yet the entire time I was (mentally) screaming, “take that boy to a therapist!” Seriously, so much PTSD. And Brandon definitely has ADHD. Somebody give him some meds already!

Story of Paul and Brendon

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!

Hidden Scars was such a great first book for this series that I wasn’t sure what Paul and Brendon’s book would be like but it was amazing.

It was very different to Hidden Scars, however it held its own and I absolutely loved reading Paul and Brendon’s relationship develop. This is a best friends to lovers romance, and boy was it full of affection.

It was great seeing so much of Preston and Jeremy, Preston’s possessiveness and seriousness is a crack up.

Teddy Hamilton and Iggy Toma nailed the narration. Gold!

For such a serious book, there was so much humour in it, omg some of the scenes had me laughing so loud!

Highly recommend reading this series. I can’t wait to see what book is next

Great listen

It was nice to follow on from the first book in the series, seeing the stories overlap was interesting.
Brendan obviously has ADHD but Paul loves his craziness and quirks, which was so nice to see. Just a great story of loving who you love, no matter what. I hope the next one in the series becomes available on Audible soon
