Now in his 80s, John continues to tour all over the world and perform to sold-out crowds. The Bluesbreaker tells all
A story of the nascent British blues scene and John’s pivotal role in it.Plenty of interesting anecdotes about the American and British musicians involved.
He could have fleshed out some of these stories with more detail but after so many years these had become hazy.
Anyone who is interested in that time and the people involved will appreciate this memoir.

Disappointed
So much potential as a bio for such a great artist. However to me at least it came across as all over the place. So much detail on something’s that never seemed to the listener or reader as important to the life story. Yet so little detail on so many things that were interesting, I’d think this is great and just as suddenly, it was on to something else that had nothing to do with what was just heard or read.
Seemed to jump from one point to another with little or no connection. Also mixing up of descriptions like ‘he left with $250.000 dollars which today would be about 1 million pounds’
I love the music but this story while it had some interesting points. Was not a greatly written biography. That said I’m glad to have had the insight of his life.
The worst part to be honest was the reading of it. It was truly terrible, had the reading been better perhaps the story would have sounded more engaging.
