Really great listen.
The cast made the story more of a performance than a standard audiobook. I really enjoyed this historical narrative. Really interested in finding out more about the ‘real’ story now. Wasn’t really edge-of-your seat style suspense or any real twists and turns, but it was an enjoyable listen nonetheless. Highly recommend.

I throughly enjoyed this book , lots of twists . This book allowed you visual imagery with its captivating descriptive scenes throughout the novel. Well read by the voice actors.

This was impeccable from the story, to the outstanding performance.
I just happened to listen to this audiobook on a whim, and I am so glad I did, it was one the most outstanding performances, that had me intrigued from start to end. A must listen for thriller buffs.
It made me feel like I was a character in a Agatha Christie murder mystery!

Such a scary story but with a good ending.
I really enjoyed the way this story developed and was told from multiple people. So interesting and kept me guessing till the end. It’s horrifying but true that coercive controllers can be so successful.

A gripping true crime story
I listened to this during one day. It is well written and narrated. If you are a true crime fan you will also enjoy the Real Crime Profile podcast with Jim Clemente

Loved this!
One of my favourite books on Audible so far..the story was told with sound effects and different narrators which made this riveting story very easy to listen to -much better than one narrator trying to voice different characters. A few details were different than Wikipedia as this is based on a true story. Would love to have more Audible books done in this way

The performance of the book was amazing! it was like being at the movies without the picture.
