Short and nothing really happens

I like the series good charactes and potential. However, this book left me feeling like I wasted my money. The book was very short and nothing really happened. Then it stopped when some thing interisting started the book feels incomplete. Cliffhangers on overly short books or too often doesn't work, this one left me feeling agrivated. Hence, the negative feedback. Hopefully the next one is better. If the next book ends with another cliffhanger, I'm out.
