About this listen
A father and his son. Two-thousand-five-hundred miles apart. A blue ribbon crosses the sky. The world starts to unravel.
No one knows what is happening, but everyone is trying to find out. Buck is running his big rig from the west coast. Garth is trapped in New York City with his high school friend.
With Marine training and an 18-wheeler, Buck heads east. With no training and no communication with his father, Garth fights just to escape New York City.
The Hadron collider in CERN. Its twin south of Denver. The Australian outback. What do these places have in common? Those who might be able to fix things are trying to figure it out while Buck doesn't care. He is on a mission to find his son.
Is time the enemy of humanity?

interesting concept
it's a very fresh take on an apocalypse scenario. I'm as confused as the characters are as to what's going on but that's a good thing

Different mix
Slow to start but the different apocalyptic mix was enough to finish book 1 and continue with the series.

Just couldn’t get into it
Seems like an excessively long prelude to the real story. I drifted in and out of listening, just didn’t capture my attention unfortunately. Not even to find out what happens next

Ok, but…
The Aussie accent is TERRIBLE. The worst I’ve ever heard. Also, in Australia we have bushfires NOT forest fires! The rest of it was ok but the cringe factor was huge when it came to the Australian parts.

The Aussie accent 🫣
The Aussie accent is horrible, maybe the worst I’ve ever heard - not even close 😂
1 hour to go and it’s obvious that everything is linked but what ? Sticking with it but sort of feels like the author is too slow to get to the point.

never write it read a non American accent.
the author has never met anyone from England or Australia, and it shows in the way those countries are written. The teenage Aussie girl was written like a drunk old man from the bush in the 1970's.
But to make it worse the reader couldn't do either an Australian or English accent if his life depended on it.
I had to stop listening it was that pathetic.
