Publisher's Summary

It’s time to go back home.

In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley, he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he’ll have to put those powers to the test, because a Dreadgod is on its way.

Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan, but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They’ll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world.

But it has been a long time since Lindon left, and more has changed than he realized.

He has always sought power to save his family…but now he might be too late.

Great series

Another great read from Will Wight. Good story line and plenty of action and a hood amount of humour. Travis Baldree is an excellent narrator and I will search for more of his work!

There's more after this and I can't wait

The Wandering Titan is heading to Sacred Valley and Lindon is determined to save it, with the help of his friends. This book has been a satisfying end to this story arc but the end indicates more adventures to come in future books. I'll be very keen to read the following ones too. Performance by Travis has been excellent all through the series.

This is a Good One

One of the better books in an already excellent series. Lindon, Yerin and crew head back home to save it from a dreadgod. Things get complicated. It's really fun to see Lindon's growth compared to those he left behind.

I wanted to enjoy this book.

I wanted to enjoy this book yet its hard to find something memorable after completing the book.

Firstly the term bloodline only really comes into effect in that future vision and the akura bloodline ( not sure what to take away from this).

Second the abadon make a huge deal about saving iterations and such yet when they fight the mad king who has the scythe which is built to anhilate worlds they don't group up and go all out to destroy him?!? they even said themselves that they need at least 3 to try and kill him. They also go and abandon all but 100 iterations from 10000 anyways ?!?!.

Third the sacred valley situation was narratively used as a plot point to develop the characters personalities rather than an actual evacuation. with the use of monarchs and the tournament wish being a bit bland.

there are a lot of random fate reliant elements that cut down my immersion , hopefully now that fate has been disconected and chaos is comming things get a bit more interesting.

not as climatic as I was hoping

As the ninth book in the series and with it being set up as the foal up until now the pivot to a bigger stage was slow and yet rushed.

There were some great moments sprinkled throughout. Will's talent for storytelling and the first and last third more than make up for a slow middle. if your a fan of cradle this is a good read but its alot slower than wintersteel.

Travis delivers a great performance as always and this feels like we won't understand what happened until all the peices have finished being placed 4/5 not his best but I'm looking forward to the future.

Amazing

Oh man, so much happens in this one. It's so great, you need to read it.
Still trying to figure out the connection between Lindon and the title for this one.

well it's another cradle book

just as good as I was expecting. tho the pacing thru me for a loop.
I enjoyed all the details but what I thought would be at the beginning was near the end.
I'm left feeling like the book needs to be another 12 hours longer to get to the point I was expecting it to stop at.
