John, a vampire living for near six thousand years, has gone by many names in his life. Warrior, king, god. Such great age can also be a curse, as his mind has not kept up with the regeneration of his body, and he struggles to even remember his own name.

I like

The book is good with a complex range of characters and backgrounds for them but what really stood out to me was the narrator he was able to bring each character to life.
