About this listen
Foreword by Bill Gates
From the authors of New York Times bestsellers, The Alliance and The Start-up of You, comes a smart and accessible must-have guide for budding entrepreneurs everywhere.
Silicon Valley is renowned for its striking number of businesses which have grown from garage start-ups into global giants; Apple, Cisco, Google, HP and Intel to name a few. But what is the secret to their outstanding success? Hoffman and Yeh explain that it’s simple: they’ve learnt how to blitzscale.
Featuring case studies from numerous prominent tech businesses such as AirBnB and WeChat, this book offers a specific set of practices for catalysing and managing dizzying growth in bourgeoning start-ups. Prioritising speed over efficiency in an environment of uncertainty, Blitzscaling illustrates how businesses can accelerate to the stage in a company’s life cycle where the most value is generated. Using the framework provided by Hoffman and Yeh, readers will learn how to design business models which simultaneously support growth at a furious pace and capture the market, as well as how to navigate the necessary shifts in strategy needed at each level of scale.

Blitzscaling paints the picture, with key case studies, of what it really takes to build a market-leading company. Holistic and Philosophical Rational for Scaling
Best book to date, detailed analysis of scaling business and why counter intuitive business methodology works. “Initially Ignore customers and don’t put out bush fires in order to scale first and then serve these customers for the long term. “

Don't, just don't buy it
I get through an Audiobook a week, so far the lowest rating I have given before this was a 4. This on the other hand is a 1, it was like Reid got one of the grads to write a book for him, then overlaid every business buzz word and got a phone sex hotline worker (do they even still exist?) to spice it up.
I guess if you were maybe 4 years old you might learn something about business from this book, but if you are over the age of 4 I would just carry on living my life and be better for it.

boring and underdone. states the obvious,.
I looked forward to this book and even pre purchased on Amazon. Unfortunately I found it quite boring and lacking in real substance and insight. It is heavily based on the Masters of Scale podcast and doesn't contain as much new content as I hoped it might. Not bad for a college class but I doubt real world entrepreneurs will gain much from this.
