About this listen

Four complete books of a time-loop LitRPG fantasy series where a reluctant hero is forced to fight against an impossible catastrophe.

On Karell, you are either blessed by the gods, granted a unique power and the ability to gain experience and levels, or you are forgotten. Micah Silver was a boy picked for greatness. Chosen by the gods to bear a mythic power, he longed to take his place among the heroes and legends he grew up reading about.

Unfortunately, his primary blessing only allows him to travel into the past by sacrificing his class, wealth, and levels—a psychological burden that Micah is reluctant to shoulder. But, even if Micah is unwilling, fate has a way of forcing you to face your destiny, and running away can cost you everything.

Over and over again....

Don't miss this special-edition full-series bundle from Cale Plamann, best-selling author of Viceroy's Pride and Tower of Somnus. Using his talents for enchanting items and summoning creatures, Micah must retrace his steps and grow stronger in a potentially futile effort to prevent tragedy and protect his family.

Brilliant story, great characters, bad ending

I am not going to ruin any of the surprises of the story or the twists. I will however complain bitterly about the ending. After 44 hours invested in this, only to have it end the way it did. It could have had a dozen more chapters, it should have had a dozen more chapters, I feel kind of emotionally robbed by the ending.

I very much enjoyed the writting style, the story concept was new and exciting, and the characters were interesting. It was very much a great story to listen to- but it is tragically let down by the ending.

Decent time loop fiction

The story was decent enough. Technically it's time loop fiction, but it's on a huge scale. Instead of the usual 1 day or 1 month loop, here the hero loops every 5 years, meaning that you only get a couple of loops per book. The hero is interesting, and the path he takes over each 5 year loop is varied. There were a couple of parts of the book where he did morally questionable things I wouldn't' have done, but they were well justified.

I listened to the first book in this box set but put it down after that. It's decent, and certainly value for money at 44 hours, but not quite for me.

weave of time

Like - It was interesting, a new take. It did not go into so much depth with abilities that i end up losing interest enough to make it meaningful. Fight scenes were well done and easy to follow.
Dislike - the virtue signaling was not required in the story. It would not have changed the story and it did not make it better.

Amazing story with one irritant

Amazing story that flowed quite nicely with good applications of time skips to brake up otherwise long down periods. Only flaw to me is the fact his age/total age do not match correctly with is blessings ability description from the second book onwards. Unsure if this is only in the audio book.

Intriguing and gripping story.

The story was good. Brought out a lot of feelings. Including frustration if I’m being honest.
The voice actor did a decent job with the characters.
It was more enjoyable than I’d anticipated

Infuriating Waste of potential

If you liked Mother of learning or perhaps read stubbon skill grinder then this story is an infuriating mess.

The main character is incompetant. He initially thinks the ability to travel back in time is useless and when he does use it a couple times he complains like an old man despite being subjectivly in his 30s.

Classes boost certain skill growth and better skills at class selection means better class choice, instead of using his loop to abuse the ability to reselet a class and learn as much as possible, he focuses on one class line, does something so stupid he has to be rescued by a god and gets rewarded for his idiocy be getting access to the best class.

The author setup a path to use the loops to reach a demi god like status, while explorong the world and then ignored them as he got mired in angst and virtue signalling.

im only halfway through it and im struggling to finish it

As a time loop story, Its terrible. Do not reccomend
