Publisher's Summary

The suspense-filled conclusion to the Black Spiral trilogy.

Violet and Johnno have escaped the Foundation’s compounds. Reunited, they need somewhere safe for the three of them to hide: Violet, Johnno and their unborn child.

Beat. Heartbeat. One, two, three. I only just became aware of the third today, just another complication in an impossible situation.

The Foundation is particularly keen to get its hands on the baby. Is freedom an impossible dream?

Narration Grating Cool Story Though

An imaginative story, I enjoyed that aspect. I struggled with the inconsistent and often incorrect pronunciation of Maori names. Especially one of the heroes of the story, Rawiri. It grated me every time. I did appreciate the attempt at trying to differentiate characters with accents and tones, however the characters sometimes became whiney and annoying which became a struggle to listen to.
