Publisher's Summary

This new edition includes an extra chapter on the #MeToo Movement and how women are standing up and speaking out and reclaiming control over the stories told about their lives.

'A friend recently told me that the things I write are powerful for her because they have the effect of making her feel angry instead of just empty. I want to do this for all women and young girls - to take the emptiness and numbness they feel about being a girl in this world and turn it into rage and power. I want to teach all of them how to Fight Like A Girl.' (Clementine Ford)

Online sensation, fearless feminist heroine and scourge of trolls and misogynists everywhere, Clementine Ford is a beacon of hope and inspiration to thousands of Australian women and girls. Her incendiary debut Fight Like A Girl is an essential manifesto for feminists new, old and soon-to-be, and exposes just how unequal the world continues to be for women. Crucially, it is a call to arms for all women to rediscover the fury that has been suppressed by a society that still considers feminism a threat.

Fight Like A Girl will make you laugh, cry and scream. But above all it will make you demand and fight for a world in which women have real equality and not merely the illusion of it.

Enlightened and awakened by this readin

The audio version of this book is a must. To hear the conviction, the determination and truth behind Clementine's words in her own voice is fantastic. This book woke up my dormant feminist and explained how I can confidently go on in my life with steadfast self esteem, soothing my self doubts and anxiety about my own existence, and channeling it into being an independent and authentic human being .

Absolutely amazing book

Instructive and insightful

This is a gut wrenching and heart breaking listen in equal measures. Great listen, brilliantly written and a bright, brave voice of modern feminism. We need more like Clematine!

Mega powerful book

Unfortunately alone, this is unlikely to change the status quo but if enough people listen/read stuff like this and the truths inside were acknowledged by more of us ….? Who knows I live in hope.

Must read

I think this should be mandatory reading for all high school students. Such a honest insight to living in this world as a female.

Brilliant!

This is a magnificent dissection of the experience of women. I love that it's narrated by Clementine herself because only Clementine could fill each word with the appropriate anger & passion.

Highly recommended

Gritty and heartbreaking with occasional dark humor, Fight Like a Girl by Australian author Clementine Ford, literally changed my entire perspective on relationships. Ford's experiences and stories deeply resonated with me in ways I wouldn't have expected. I think guys are probably going to feel pretty uncomfortable reading it, but for us girls it's like our long lost diary of stories collected and organized in to Ford's book. It was a roller coaster emotionally but ultimately empowering to me. There is a part of me that wishes all young people would read it, perhaps because I wish it would have existed in my teens so I could have avoided some pretty dystopian relationships. I really do highly recommend it.

Terrific

It should be mandatory for everyone to read this. I'll be sending a copy to my parents and recommending it to all my friends.
