About this listen

The lost love that’s always haunted her is about to make an unexpected return....

Caroline Wilton has no time for romance. She’s too busy running her family’s bar to even think about dating. She’s also one of Starfall Point’s resident witches, responsible for keeping the local ghost population in check.

But even the most magical of witches can use a shoulder to lean on, which is what happens when Ben Hoult, the handsome doctor she never quite got over, walks back into her life. Ben is a single dad now, and as he and Caroline reconnect, they discover that they both have a knack for helping and protecting the people near and dear to them.

Soon they’re working together to unravel a centuries-old murder, and Caroline has to face the wrath of angry ghosts...and the uncertainty of opening her heart back up to love. She’s not sure which one is worse. All she knows is that keeping her heart safe will take every ounce of magic she’s got.

A Spellbinding Sequel

Molly Harper’s "Big Witch Energy," the second installment in the Starfall Point series, wonderfully expands the enchanting world introduced in the first book. Harper’s trademark humor and vibrant storytelling return in full force, creating a sequel that not only meets but exceeds expectations with its intricate plot and deepened character arcs.

In "Big Witch Energy," readers are treated to a delightful continuation of the series that sees our beloved characters facing new, more complex challenges. The stakes are higher, the magic more potent, and the relationships richer. Harper masterfully weaves various storylines together, keeping readers invested in the fate of each character. As the protagonists navigate through their trials, their growth and resilience shine through, making them feel even more real and relatable.

Harper’s ability to craft a narrative that is as humorous as it is heartfelt is on full display. The dialogue crackles with wit, and the situations the characters find themselves in are both outlandishly magical and strikingly familiar. This balance keeps the story grounded, despite its fantastical elements, and makes the emotional payoffs all the more satisfying.

The introduction of new elements and deeper explorations into the magical world of Starfall Point are deftly handled, enhancing the lore without overwhelming the reader. Each chapter builds on the last, weaving a rich tapestry of magic, mystery, and mischief that is hard to put down.

"Big Witch Energy" is a fantastic follow-up that proves Molly Harper is at the top of her game. With its perfect blend of magic, drama, and romance, this book is a must-read for fans of the series and newcomers alike. Harper invites readers back to Starfall Point with open arms and a book brimming with charm and enchantment. It’s a magical journey that is not to be missed.

Loved learning more about the coven and the still burning love between childhood sweethearts

As always these narrators are amazing. Dual POV, some twists and turns I want expecting with this particular book. I am loving this series and now can't wait for book 3!

Lots of fun

These stories are fun and Molly writes great dialogue. One thing… love Amanda, but I wish the accents could be consistent. Carolyn had an ironic drawl in the first book which completely disappeared in this one. It’s not a big deal, but I liked it. I’m not sure about Teddy… but his accents are great. I do love the dual narration. Overall, worth it

Starts off well but full of plot holes

Really enjoyed the first half of this book. Everything ticks along smoothly and the characters are as fun and punchy as ever. But as the book draws to a conclusion, a number of plot holes and inconsistencies crop up that become a bit frustrating. The ending is fairly predictable and trite but that's okay, I still enjoyed it and will continue listening to the next installment.

This book was free with Audible- but I still paid too much

At their first kiss - Caroline has: broken ribs, sprained ankle, bad bruises & a concussion- & unzips his fly & pulls his dick out- BTW he is her doctor - and is only in there to check on her- they naturally get interrupted by a GHOST & don’t (thankfully) have another sex scene for another 120 pages.

This book is terrible

Slightly better than the first book.

The introduction of more characters made this slightly more interesting than the first book. But the characters, especially the children, talked like in movies.
