Wonderfully insightful!

This book has shifted the way I look at my own and other children's behaviour and the way I parent. it's a shame the worksheets aren't included as a download, as these would have been really helpful!

Best and only book answered my concerns.

I was looking for identifying strategies for root cause of my child's challenging behavior.
This book nailed it down nicely and now I understand I have wasted all money for therapists who even does not have a clue of what causes.

Great info

I found this really helpful for giving me the latest science in a parent friendly language to reframe behaviour and look at the potential causes instead of reacting to the symptoms. Highly recommend

Must read

…for all teachers, allied health professionals, doctors & people raising neurodivergent children. Excellent use of case studies to highlight effective strategies, lots of challenging self reflection to do after reading & doing worksheets. Very worthwhile. Problem is, you don’t get the worksheets with the audio book.

Badly needs the pdf - not included.

Content was good, but uses a lot of tables, which without the PDF are difficult to imagine. I feel like I wasted time with a lot of this without the supporting material. Generally good case examples and ideas.

I loved this book. I loved the content but disappointed that the pdfs were not included. The paradigm shift that needs to happen.

Loads of interesting information and perspectives

I enjoyed the information provided but would have appreciated a PDF to apply the strategies and worksheets described.

A game-changer! A must-read!

I have been interested in peaceful / respectful / conscious / connected / mindful parenting for a decade and have read many great books and listened to countless podcast episodes that provide both tools and rationale for a calm, connected, empathic, non-punituve and non-shaming approach to parenting where self-awareness and self-regulation in the parent is key. I have also developed an interest in neuropsychology and modern attachment theory. This book has joined the dots for me in a profound and transformative way. Despite what I knew and what I intended, I still found it so hard not to get caught up in my kids' dysreguation. Beyond Behaviors has given me a fundamental perspective shift and I now feel that rather than having to simply use will power to "stay calm" or force myself to "stop, drop and breathe" (which I found SO hard to do in the moment), I have a deeper awareness of how my and my kids' nervous systems are functioning and influencing each other - it's alkost like I have some kind of neuro-telepathy and can see and hear things that were outside of, or peripheral to my awareness previously. But I only had part of the picture. This book put it all together so beautifully! I am now recommending it to EVERYONE. Apart from having my own four kids, I work in the forensic mental health system and wish every practitioner would read it! THANKYOU Mona Delahooke, for your your gift to the world of this amazing book!
