About this listen
Swinging from a meat-hook, his entire skin was in one piece including his hair, face, ears, nose, mouth and genitals. Slashes and stab holes tore through the human pelt, a testimony to the wounds he suffered before dying. Cruel and evil, Katherine Knight showed no mercy when she butchered her de facto in a crime that put her behind bars in an Australian prison for a record life sentence.
Beyond Bad is the shocking true story of Knight and her crimes - the ritual slaying and skinning of her de facto for a cannibal feast. Knight, a 44-year-old abattoir worker, stabbed father-of-three John Price 37 times, skinned his body, cooked his head, and served him up as a meal for his children. Drawing on first-hand accounts, Beyond Bad tells what motivated Knight to commit such a heinous act and how it rocked the small town she lived in.
This is a horrifying story of love, lust, revenge and murder - all the more shocking because it really happened in Australia.

Well told and researched
Great book! Well told by narrator. In depth and well researched . Sandra Lee was the best narrator i have heard so far on Audible. I listened to this on a car trip and the time flew listening to this . Good work!

a few narrator errors but an excellent read
Narrator mispronounces Mulawa, Murrurundi and piquerism, which is slightly disappointing!
Otherwise very well read. i grew up not far away and have read about this case widely.

Insane story
What an amazing story! I struggled a great deal at the beginning with the excessive, convoluted details of relatively useless information and unnecessary details of animal slaughter! I feel like it's a great read but it reminds me of being in school and having to make a five word sentence into a whole paragraph with useless information and unnecessary use of words to make the word count! It's a WHOLE lot of hours wasted on setting the scene, then the last 3 hrs is where it all happens!

very well told just goes off on a tangents
the story is good, the reading of the story is excellent, well worth the listen, the only issue I had was the going off on pointless tangents, talking about the totally irrelevant things like Melbourne cup winners that raced that day, take about 10 percent of the book away it would brilliant

Bloodcurdling story and crime disected
Anatomy of a murder, who was coldblooded murderess, who was the victim? Lesson on smalltown life in Australia . Sociological truths and revelations , could this most bloody and cruel execution style murder be prevented?Kathryn had personality disorder , she loved her work in slaughterhouse, enjoyed watching animals be killed and chopped, had collection of sharpest butchers knifes in her house, promiscous and primitive, noone really realised what she is capable of, her crime would cause you nightmares to the end of your life.Author skillfully relates biographical and court case details which makes you feel like you were the eyewitness and knew participants of this most vile horror story, were there in that house when Kathryn after having last sex with her victim begins her preplanned slughter...

some holes in the research.
Well written except for a couple of errors. Example: Anita Cobby's parents were Grace and Gary Lynch. Not cobby. Cobby was her married name.

Bloody amazing
having grown up near to where this story was told, and now reside close to the silverwater prison, it was both thrilling and shocking to hear the full account of what really happened.
Both author and narrator preformed incredibly and I enjoyed every bit of this harrowing story.
highly recommend!
