About this listen
A laugh-out-loud, slice-of-life martial-arts fantasy about . . . farming????
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body.
As Jin, I’m a man of the earth. A wielder of shovels and lord of rice and wheat. And sure, I also had to die and get pulled into another universe to end up here. But guess what? I’m starting to think it was worth it.
I’ve somehow managed to get away from it all. Finally free of the bloodshed of cultivator fights, I figure I’ll live in the slow lane from here on out, my only real concern the rain—or lack thereof.
Unfortunately, I’ve suddenly got a shady organization looking for me, my cat has gone off to fight in a martial arts tournament, and my chicken has uncovered an ancient crystal containing portents of doom. You know, the usual stuff.
I’m not worried though. Sometimes trouble finds you. And while I may not be a master cultivator . . . trouble should know better than to mess with a farmer.
The third volume of the blockbuster progression-fantasy series—with more than 20 million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Loved it. Mix of lighthearted slice of life mingled wonderfully with some profound truths about meaning of life and everything 😁
Some new fun charachters and further development of old ones. Enjoyed every minute of it, great narration, as always.

Love them so much.
I get so bored with angst and needles drama. These books are a boon to the soul. Full of love and kindness. And fun. Rollicking good fun.

Exciting Continuation
I delayed purchase initially as I was worried it would get boring. I Was Wrong. This is easily the most enjoyable story in the series. There’s a good amount of action and the threats they’ve setup for the next book have me excited without it feeling like a cliffhanger.
If you completed the first 2, then give this a go. You won’t regret it.

Still great but one thing spoilt the book.
Ok so I reply like this series, and maybe I’m the only one but I couldn’t get past this.
I understand that the Author doesn’t want to bother too much about the economics of the world. But the main character gets completely ripped off and through out the rest of the book everyone just acts as if this didn’t happen. The author then goes on to portray this same organisation a good friend of his.
Let me explain: not much of a spoiler.
So he negotiates to sell his Gold rice bag for 60 silver per bag (as he doesn’t know the fair price). We find out later that a similar bag but probably of lesser quality sells for around 300 silver. Also later the leader of this organisation mentions that she makes around 80 thousand from initial 300 bags.
So the organisations that buys it from him and just sells it on is making 260 silver from each a bag but only pays him 60 for growing it.
He grows this amazingly special product that is incredibly valuable but only gets 18% of the profit.
I really hope this is addressed in the next book. I know the MC doesn’t care about money but no one likes to be ripped off. And he should be cutting all ties with this organisation and finding a seller that gives him an actual percentage.
Pet peeve but it bothered me whenever the MC dealt with this organisation.
Apart from this it is still a very good book.
