About this listen
Levi Binder is a Miami bartender who cares about only two things: sex and surfing. Ostracized by his Mormon family for his homosexuality, Levi is determined to live his life his own way, but everything changes when he meets massage therapist Jaime Marshall.
Jaime is used to being alone. Haunted by the horrors of his past, his only friend is his faithful dog, Dolly. He has no idea how to handle somebody as gorgeous and vibrant as Levi.
Complete opposites on the surface, Levi and Jaime both long for something they can find only together. Through love and the therapeutic power of touch, they'll find a way to heal each other, and they'll learn to live as sinners in a family of saints.

A beautiful story sensitively told!
Levi Binder lives a hedonistic lifestyle, largely as a protest against his conservative Mormon family’s condemnation - the more they disapprove, the more he pushes. Things change when he meets Jaime Marshall, a quiet massage therapist who lives a highly anxious life due to childhood trauma. Somehow, despite the family’s misgivings, both men will be each other’s salvation. While this redemption romance tackled religious beliefs, child sexual abuse and the resultant PTSD, it wasn’t too heavy or morbid - there were lots of sweet or light moments. I’m not good with overly religious stories and I did squirm a bit at times, but I thought all topics were handled sensitively and thoughtfully. The shining strand throughout the story was the growing relationship between Levi and Jaime and their patience with each other, it evolved beautifully. Audio narrator John Solo is always a favourite; he’s such a versatile performer, handling laughter and sorrow equally well. Here, I especially loved his softened voice for Jaime, it suited the character perfectly.
