A corpse is found in a snow-covered Tivoli Gardens one night five days before Christmas. Stabbed to death, strapped to the bottom of the gondola.
The investigation is complicated when the wife of one of the suspects is accused of attempted murder in Christiania. Meanwhile, her family is falling apart, but a dark secret hangs over the family, and no one wants to talk to the police. Police Detective Lars Winkler must navigate a dark labyrinth of conflicting interests and a repressed past.
