delightful
read the book several times over the years, and each time enjoyed thoroughly - it hasn't dated on me yet - so though would risk narration based on reviews and so glad I did. it's really a 4.5 in its genre for me. Clever and fun dialogue drives the plot, some crazy too real characters add entertainment (min's mother to note one). narrator brought fresh joy for me, and even though there didn't seem to be a huge difference between min and Carl's voices, I always knew who was talking, so she nailed it without the overacting that many narrators for opposite genders. I so appreciated an atopic romance that while not falling for typical fairy tale, and silly plots, is then a real fairy tale. couple are a perfect match for each other, in the all the ways it really counts, and the delightful plot and dialogue let them explore that.

Great book, but needs a major edit
I have read and enjoyed this book several times. However it looses a star for one glaring error - the word ‘said’ is over-utilised by about 99%. Seriously, “he said”, “she said”, every damn time. Use ANY other verb occasionally - he growled / smirked / choked / observed. She smirked / cried / hissed / crowed. Get it? Using SAID constantly is boring, lazy and misses so much opportunity to add to the mood.
It is a great, funny, sweet novel, but it needs an edit and republish.

Don't feel like a drama? This is fun and whitty. I first read this book 20 years ago and now time poor it was just as good to listen to. Fun characters with loyal friendships and being open to accepting yourself. Fun romcom.

Best One Ever. A witty, joyful, true romance.
Loved it. Narration was great too. I love romance stories where the sex is near the end, it doesn't overwhelm or repeat through the story, and the tension stays between the protagonists throughout.
