Great plot
I really enjoyed the twists and subplots in this book. The characters were bought to life by a great narration. I recommend this audio book for a wide female audience

Captivating historical drama
I was intrigued with the storyline and where it would lead, I’d highly recommend it.

Wonderful story
I loved this book. Such a lovely story, beautifully written. Lisa’s descriptions of both post war London and 1995 Soho were so vivid - it was like I was there. And her characters became part of my life. So much so that when I wasn’t reading I was thinking “I wonder how Betty is getting on in London?” That’s a sign of a great book!

Beautiful Story of Parallel lives
What a lovely tale of parallel lives from the 1920’s and 1990’s.
Expertly interwoven and beautifully read.
Makes you appreciate your grandparents and think of them as young and carefree not old and frail.
Lisa Jewell has done it again

fantastic story
It was a bit slow to start but once it got going you get wrapped up with the characters. Both narrators were excellent 👌

Not the usual Jewell page turner
Oh dear. Essentially a very superficial story, with plenty of shallow characters.
The whole pop star nonsense was just that. The Dom whoever character fulfilled that whole super-rich celebrity trope and was only marginally less annoying than the supposedly beautiful Betty.
I forced myself to finish, but the effort wasn’t worth it.
