A vulnerable and shy girl, Becky Watts was brutally murdered and dismembered by her own step-brother on 19 February 2015. As her father Darren discovered the horrific details of what happened to his darling girl, his world fell apart.
Writing about his darkest hours and unbearable pain, Darren uncovers what Becky’s relationship with her step-brother Nathan, a child he had raised as his own son, was really like. He recalls the devastation of discovering the truth about the depravity with which Becky was torn from him in the safety of her own home. Heart breaking.
Loved this book. Couldn't stop listening to it, felt so sorry for the family. The narrator was fantastic. 😢

heartbreaking
what a story, I had tears and as I read wondered how you would ever come through such a harrowing ordeal. I still can't understand why anyone does this sort of thing. I hope you and Angel are finding some happiness, albeit difficult.

So sad and insightful
Loved it. Took 2 days to finish it. Darren seems like a lovely man so I felt it was a good listen as he was so likeable.
Covered the story really well finished it without wondering anything.

Sadly insightful
I've read a few real crime books, this was really well written by Becky's father, he gave real insight to the family and Becky's life. While I was reading this I kept thinking how brave he was to write this and he wasn't one sided at all. It tells a real story about an every day family whose life got turned upside down by someone who turned bad. I hope life can one day become bearable for you all. Thanks for the read

Don’t skip this one!
Absolutely heartbreaking story it had me in tears many times! The narration was fine i actually enjoyed it. This book I couldn’t turn off listened to this in one day. I want to know did the bell ever ring ?
