I'd forgotten how good Brynne is
I listened to Brynnes 'KILLER' series and was waiting for the next book so was sidetracked.
the roller coaster ride brynne takes you on is literally the up and down of a wild ride.
just when it gets suspenseful she eases you down the ride and gives you normal family drama, then away you go again. there were red herrings thrown in everywhere and I had 2 suspects lined up for part of the plotline but nope, I didn't see that baddie coming but I had the other baddies on my radar.
even the Chicago plot I thought was a uh oh! but again it wasn't what I expected.
so in saying that it's a no brainer that the pace is fairly moving and the alpha H is gorgeous yet has a vulnerable side we discovered. this was a wonderful change having the h taking the lead and the H although important and scrumptious is almost secondary.
the steam was up there and the slow burn left me impatient.
the family drama near the end I get a feeling leads into book 2.
