About this listen

Colin Spencer is a tattoo artist with a past he'd prefer to keep a secret. Actually, he has a few secrets that he'd rather people didn't know about, which is why Colin doesn't do commitment. But when a shy sailor approaches him at the gym, Colin finds this guy pushing all his buttons.

Growing up in a conservative family, then escaping with the Navy, Daniel Moore is an unsure virgin who feels like he can't share his true self with anyone. Seeing Colin - and his tattoos - at the gym are the sign Daniel needs to finally get those tattoos he's always wanted, and maybe try his hand at flirting.

As Colin and Daniel spend more time together, their awkward hesitations turn into a deep passion neither expected. But with both men harboring secrets, will their relationship be able to survive their insecurities and become something beautiful?

Contains mature themes.

Gentle guys learning to trust & comfort each other

Colin Spencer is a gifted tattooist and an ex-porn star who still struggles with an eating disorder. When he starts a new relationship, he braces for the inevitable rejection that follows his self-revelations, but he knows he can’t hide those things from prospective parters. Daniel Moore is in the Navy, he’s out but not to his uber-religious parents, and what he doesn’t want Colin to know is that he’s never slept with another man. As their mutual attraction pulls them together, both men will have to trust the other with their secrets.

I really liked this quiet, spicy romance between two decent guys. It was lovely to watch Daniel blossom under Colin’s nurture, care and sexual tutelage. As a character who has been bitten more than once, Colin was more neurotic and less trusting—he spun his mental wheels A LOT. I didn’t agree with his ultimatum and the ending left a lot up in the air, but I loved the overall gentleness of both characters and I’m keen to get into the rest of the series. 🎧 Veteran voice artist Michael Ferraiuolo channelled both guys perfectly, he hit just the right notes (currently free on the Audible Plus catalogue)!

Weird

I’m not gunna finish it the line where he judges ppl for using numbing cream when getting a tattoo and then acting like and age difference of 18 and 32 is completely normal tbh it lost me at the numbing cream part but that age bit that’s not normal ok or cute this is the second book I’ve read where they talk about it like it’s ok I thought we were all in agreement that just bc it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s moral. Anyway from what I read it seemed interesting if you can sit thro those two things and the cringe of the American army
