Take me to your Atlan Warlord
Until this story I never realised I needed Atlan Warlords! This is my first Grace Goodwin book, but it won’t be my last. Okay, truth be told I have already downloaded book 2!
Warlord Wulf and Olivia may not be what the reality show had in mind.. but it was so much better.
Ms Goodwin has managed to find the right balance of intrigue, humour, angst and swoon worthy moments throughout the book. This story often had me in a state of tension and anxiety as I waited for scenes to play out. The following scenes, often involving Olivia’s kids or her friend Lucy calmed many of those tense scenes and prepared the reader for the next part of the rollercoaster ride. And what a great ride it was
This was my first time listening to Mia Sloane’s narration and she did a great job, while Tor Thom’s growly narration of Wulf was perfect!

Different but great
This was something different for me and I really enjoyed it, have downloaded the other books in the series. Great narration, the male voice was spot on for the character.

Surprisingly fun read.
A fast-paced, action-packed sci-fi romance with an intriguing blend of alien technology, reality TV, and steamy romance. Warlord Wulf, a warrior from The Colony, is thrown into a human reality show—definitely not his comfort zone—leading to some great fish-out-of-water moments. His connection with Olivia, however, is instant and intense, driven by his uncontrollable Beast instincts, and the chemistry is off the charts.
The narration is spot on, and I loved how Wulf genuinely felt alien, adjusting to Earth’s quirks and the chaos of the reality show. The spice scenes lived up to expectations, and his bond with Olivia’s niece and nephew was a heartwarming touch, showing a softer side to his otherwise ferocious character.
That said, the subplot about Olivia owing her dead brother’s debts felt unnecessary and detracted from the main story. I also found the trope of Olivia constantly putting herself down because of her size to be outdated and frustrating. Female characters deserve better, and this self-deprecating aspect weighed down her otherwise strong character arc.
However, the camaraderie between Olivia and the other finalists on the show was refreshing, as was their united front against the show's creepy host. The book has its flaws but still delivers on the romance and sci-fi elements, and it made me laugh out loud.

A good yarn.
I enjoyed the stories about aliens finding their human mates. The story follows an alien in an earthly reality competition. He is down to the last 2 contestants and must choose his mate. However not all goes to plan. Narration was good.

Excellent
Enter the world of Te Bachelor Beast a tv show dreamed up by some of the mates on The Colony to try and lure more women to the Colony as mates for the males there. Of course nothing goes to plan and Warlord Wulf chooses Olivia Mercier a make-up artist from the show and not the two beautiful women who had made it to the end of the show. Throw in some secrets from their pasts and the finale is a doozy. The story is full of action, hot steamy sex, laugh out loud moments with the obligatory bad guys and one hot Atlan beast who will stop at nothing to claim his mate.

Bachelor beast
Great first book, spicy but not to spicy. Great characters. Narration was perfect. Loved it looking forwars to listening to more in tbe series

Brilliant original story
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was compelling, had my heart racing and great plot twists I totally didn't see coming. Highly recommended.
