She has been in the industry for (in her words) “75 years” so she has seen more dreadful gigs than anyone in the world. Her career has been spectacular from the outside, and her tenacity has allowed her to stay in a profession that has been infamously unenthusiastic towards women. Julia has been thrown under the bus on national television by colleagues in search of a leg-up, and she has also embraced younger talent wholeheartedly.
