PILOT: Hi! Justin here. This is the pilot episode of Opposable Digits – my new show about the numbers that make us argue. Believe it or not, this is the first show I've hosted solo, so I'd love to hear your feedback on how it goes.

I can't think of a better or worse way to start this show than with the election of Donald Trump for a second term as US President. Nothing better for the show, because it gives us some good statistics to dig into; and nothing worse to start with, because... well, y'know.

In this episode, I'm going to try to report what went wrong for Harris/Walz and the Democrats, what went right for Trump/Vance and the Republicans, and what it all might mean for the next federal election here in Australia in or around May 2025.
