But Jesus says otherwise. Surprisingly, the Bible teaches that persecution isn’t a sign of failure but of blessing. In the Book of Matthew 5:10, Jesus says: “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” This verse tells us that standing for what’s right might lead to hardship, but God promises that these struggles will be honored in heaven.
