While most Lukoi spend their days preparing for a long, dangerous winter, Micah Firekeeper is a toymaker. He lives alone in his great-grandmother’s cottage, making beautiful designs full of color and life. When a fire destroys his home and all of his creations, Micah is taken in by Viv and Sasha, a married couple who live in the underground Compound.
