About this listen
An actor, a model, and a younger man walk into a therapist’s office.... They’re all Dylan Brodie. It’s only funny if you aren’t the single mom therapist he can’t stop flirting with.
Dear Mr. Brodie,
I hope this email finds you well.
Your well-being and personal growth are of the utmost importance to me, as a therapist.
As such, I have decided it is in your best interest to continue individual therapy with another practitioner.
This is due to the potential for boundaries being crossed between us.
Attached is a list of colleagues I would recommend for you.
Sincerely,
Scarlett Shepard, MS, MFT
Dear Scarlett,
Cool.
Consider our sessions terminated.
Now I can tell you how beautiful you are and how attracted I am to you.
Let’s start crossing boundaries over dinner tonight.
You’ll say it would be unethical, and I’ll point out that we’ve only had a few sessions.
You’ll cite the age difference, and I’ll tell you how hot it is that you’re six years older than me.
You’ll say you’re a mom, and I’ll remind you that I think your son is awesome.
We don’t have to discuss my former attachments to former co-stars ever again.
This is due to the fact that clearly my only personality issue is that I’m irresistible.
Yours in well-being and personal growth,
Dylan Brodie, W.M.H.T.A.T.Y.E.H. (Way More Handsome and Talented Actor Than Your Ex-Husband)
This is a duet-style audiobook, starring Zachary Webber and Emily Woo Zeller. Featuring Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais, and Emma Wilder.

Complex feelings about this one.
Firstly most of the narrators were mostly excellent as always. Not so sure about Emma who had an annoying delivery at times.
I've heard a lot by this author. However this book isn't a favourite. The character of Dylan was very likeable and, even though he is be younger than the heroine, he actually sounded the more mature.
The heroine, a therapist sounded quite immature at times. I don't want to overthink this as it's a romance, but her portrayal and decisions as a therapist were unlikely.
Dylan did all the heavy lifting. The way it is written didn't drag me into the loving feelings between the two except for his delivery.
The writing was also more objective and mixed with humour which detracted from the connectedness.
The obsession with fart jokes came cross as juvenile (and not just because the were mostly delivered by the child). There was a continuing range of them in an obsessive way. None of this made me laugh even though I did laugh a few other times in the way some other situations were written.
I do like these group reads and having Zachary, Jason and Teddy all in it was a special combination.

10 out of 10
Kayley Loring is my new favourite rom com author. Hubby and I listened to this book on a very long drive home. I must say it was the best 7 hours in a car! The book was well written, story kept you there. The jokes were funny and narrators were perfectly chosen for their roles. If you want a light hearted book to enjoy and have a laugh and get some good romance, then this is the one for you.
