About this listen
Everyone always ask me what it is like being autistic. The reality is, being autistic is unique to each person.
In this audiobook, I explain an aspect of my autism called "escaping into imagination" and how I use it to create a make-believe world to accelerate how amazing my autism is. It has often been said that people with autism struggle with pretend-play. I feel this is a misunderstanding. Just because we do not pretend play like other kids does not mean we do not have imaginations or use them to pretend in our own world. This book is a very in-depth perception and truth of how I often escape into my vivid imagination and create a make-believe world to help me overcome many of the social challenges associated with Asperger Syndrome.
Learn how I take special interests and turn them into amazing careers and accomplishments in my brain that help me build self-esteem and confidence. I use my wild imagination to create a make-believe world where my special interests help me accomplish all my hopes and dreams. This ability to create a make-believe world, where I can do and be anything I want, has helped build self-confidence in a real world that often does not understand me, nor do I understand it.
This is a story of how one man with Asperger Syndrome escapes into his imagination to create a make-believe world where he can do and be anything he wants which, then, transfers into the real world and the life he enjoys with autism.
