Vermutlich entfalten die alten Volksmärchen ihre volle Kraft weder als Hörspiel noch als Film. Das "Kino im Kopf" sowie die tiefe Wirkung auf den seelischen Hintergrund entstehen am besten in der seit Jahrhunderten immer gleichen Situation: jemand liest diese Geschichte vor. Nicht selten immer und immer wieder.

Diese Neuproduktion besinnt sich auf diesen Ursprung. Zum leichteren Verständnis sind einzelne Wörter dem heutigen Sprachgebrauch angepasst worden. Zum Beispiel "sammeln" statt "lesen" und "Haselzweig" statt "Haselreis". Auch sprechen wir von Aschenputtel meist nicht als "es", sondern als "sie" (nicht "es" ging also zur Mutter Grab, sondern "sie" ging zur Mutter Grab).
