One of my favourite movies of all time - a nice book

If you love this movie, you will enjoy this book. It’s easy to listen to, and it’s nice hearing what cast members remember & thought of when they made this perfect movie.

Some of Cary’s stories were a little long winded - chapter 10 could of taken half the time. That being said, it was nice to reminisce and learn about how the movie got made.

A treasure for fans

I'm assuming you'll only be interested in this book if you're a fan of the movie and, that being the case, you'll find this book delightful. This is a warm and affectionate collection of stories of the casting and filming of the movie; not full of gossip or scandal.

The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favourites so this was truly charming and everything I wanted it to be! Let's be honest, we want to hear that they all had a wonderful time and felt it was a special and memorable experience. And to have the cast read their contributions to the book, what a treat. It was simply wonderful to spend some time with these actors (and their characters) and hear their reminiscences.

A story, about a film about a story of love

This was warm, positive and endearing recollection of the making of a beloved classic movie. The details and insights of the writer, actors and director offer depth to this already multi layered story of true love. This was an effort in love.

Completes the Movie

Movie is one of the greatest ever. Good that they had some of the original cast also on the production. You won't find any juicy or salacious gossip here, just a nice narrative of the making of the movie. Lots of nice stories about Andre, and well performed by Cary, who is good at impressions. Worth it if you like the movie.

This was a joy to listen to. It has enthused me to rewatch the movie and pick out some of the scenes that were talked about in the book.

So THAT'S how you pronounce "Elwes"!

This was a gentle and thoroughly heartwarming recount of the creation of the most wonderful film I've had the pleasure to see. It was a rare moment that wasn't spent grinning like a fool or getting misty thinking about the impact this movie had on my life. Absolutely worth it.
