About this listen
Raphael and Elena are experiencing their first ever year of true peace. No war. No horrors of archangelic power. No nightmares given flesh. Until...the earth beneath the Refuge begins to tremble, endangering not only angelkind's precious and fragile young, but the very place that has held their most innocent safe for eons.
Amid the chaos, Elena's father suffers a violent heart attack that threatens to extinguish their last chance to heal the bonds between them and make sense of the ruins of their agonizing shared history.
Even as Elena battles grief, Raphael is torn from her side by the sudden disappearance of an archangel. But worse yet is to come. An Ancestor, an angel unlike any other, stirs from his Sleep to warn the Cadre of a darkness so terrible that it causes empires to fall and civilizations to vanish.
This time, even the Cadre itself may not be able to stop a ticking clock that is counting down at frightening speed...

Best series
This is a series well worth listening to
I found every book has a seriously good story behind it. So entwined each book with all the characters absolutely love it. Hope there are more to come?

Distracted
Archangels Lineage is the first book in the series I found difficult to listen to. It took several chapters for the Narrator to start sounding like all the characters voice could be differentiated from each other. I've never had that before with this series. I had to go back and re listen to the beginning chapters as her voice was do distracting. The Narrator sounded sick and scratchy and had pronounced Rafael in parts as Raf Ael.
The storyline was good and definately seemed like Nalini was tying up loose ends but was a little disjointed with a 20 year jump for characters that I didn't think quite meshed together although some parts e.g. Amy , Geraldine and Geoffrey were well placed.
I hope there is at least 1 more story left in this series to really put a full stop on it.

Singh does it again!
This one I think is going to be a favourite instalment in this series. I laughed, cried, gasped and generally refused to do anything involving concentration until I finished listening to this latest instalment with Elena, Raphael & Co ❤️

This is such a fantastic series!
This would have to be one of my favourite series of all time. The love and respect that Raphael and Ellie have for each other is epic. Justine Eyre is a wonderful narrator.

Time skip since book 1 understood now
The last book I was trying to work out the time frame since book 1 and it’s good to get a firm grasp with Zoe being almost 21 and being an infant in book 1.
I think that makes Elana 47? I had it in my head she was 27 book 1? Might be time for 10th read of angels blood XD
I so hope this series ends with Elana pregnant. I know they have a low birth rate but this has been my favourite pairing for over a decade now I think.
Still put this off for ages and busted it out in a day with the last 10 chapters physically read finished at midnight so that’s nice :D
My guess for the next book is Vivek and KC. (I don’t recall if she was a vampire or angel? That’s most of the main group paired off.
I kind of want Zoe to take up an offering to be turned. Maybe something along the lines of Elana first time needing to. I just think Sarah would be happy Simeon would be with Elana if that makes sense.
Love the story. Love the series. Best urban fantasy imo
