About this listen
Sir Roger Parkes is a man of some influence in the West Country. When he loses touch with his youngest daughter, he has a word with the Assistant Chief Constable of the local force. It's not a police matter, he is told, but if Sir Roger wants to pursue it privately, there is a lady who might be able to help-two of them, actually.
As far as Summer Lane is concerned, she has enough problems without going into the investigations business with her next door neighbor; Mrs. Emily Willows's problems all seem to center around the fact that her neighbor is refusing to go into the investigations business with her. They have reached, it seems, an impasse. Until, that is, Emily notices that someone has left a message on her answering machine . . .

What a good listen!
This story was the best so far in this series. Well done to the narrator who makes one feel immersed in the story. Can’t wait for the next book.

Enjoyable but …
I love Peter Grainger’s books and this was another excellent one. I also used to love the reader for all the Smith books. However, I really struggle with the reader for Arcadia. Her performance is very disappointing.

Arcadia
I have enjoyed all of the Peter Grainger books that I have read.
I find the story lines to be well researched and kept simple so that they are easy to believe, and Arcadia is similarly written. The narration is easy to follow and transforms the reader into the story.

Enjoyable listen
At first was disappointed different narrator than Peter Grainger’s DC Smith and Kingslake series but quickly grew on me and thought totally right for the characters…and enjoying the development from the previous two books.

Fast moving and interesting.
Another enjoyable story with the formed relationship between two completely opposite people bonded together.
As usual I can only listen to the Narrator on 90% speed. She races along with her words in all the other books she reads. Almost leaving me breathless listening .

Good story
I found an easy listening story. Enjoyed the characters, and narration as always. I do enjoy the books by this author

Dreadful narrator
Oh give me strength. How does that woman get the job of narrating this story.
Can’t listen to it
