The narration

The narration of this novel is much much better than the previous text. I wish Rachel McAdams had done all the novels

It’s a classic for a reason

L M Montgomery created a legend when she created Anne Shirley and she has stood the test of time. This version is beautifully read by Susan O’Malley, who brings Anne and her world to life.

This is the best of the Anne stories! I adore it. The performance was great and accents/voices were done well.

Revisiting an old favourite

I have just finished listening to the first 4 Anne books after reading them many times when I was younger. I found the performance of this book fairly good, though the narrator pronounced the name Phillippa in a strange way which grated! Largely I enjoyed this read.

Ah the romance

Wonderful narration!

Listened to this on 1.2 speed and it was perfect for my tastes.

The most romantic love story, and my favourite.
