About this listen

What does it mean to be a child of God? We are told in scripture that followers of Jesus Christ are a member of the royal priesthood. We are told that we have been adopted into God’s family. We are told that we are a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

We are told that we are loved by God as he loves all of his family. Yet, we often, and even most often, are reluctant to fully accept our adoption. We accept our salvation. But we do not accept the intimate love of our Father in heaven.

Why is this?

I believe it happens when we hold on to an old identity and feel unworthy of what we have been given by Father God. As a result, we keep an orphan spirit, and it is this perspective that makes us stand on the outside looking in, rather than entering the banquet that our father has waiting for us.

The book you are about to hear is the story of a man who discovered the truth that he was holding on to a lie that kept with him an orphan’s perspective, even though he was fully adopted and given the rights of sonship.

Perhaps, you will listen to your life story in this book and find freedom from the view you have of yourself that keeps you from coming close to your Father in heaven? I pray that it will.
