Publisher's Summary
It was the worst day of her life...her wedding day.
Miss Isabel Lewis is down on her luck. Previously a perfect hostess and a proper lady, lately she’s been running into one trouble after another, literally. One such unfortunate event costs her the respectability she worked so hard to earn. Now she has a choice: either marry a man she loathes, or spend her life a ruined lady.
A single father, a misbehaving child, and an unruly dog.
The Marquess of Vane is a hermit and a recluse. Having been burnt by women not once, but twice, he is determined to find a perfect, proper lady for the sake of his daughter and marquessate. No need for passion, love or even companionship. But when he runs into Miss Isabel and is forced to offer for her hand, sparks fly and promise to upturn his quiet, uneventful life.
Will they allow their passion to burn, or will their past steal their right to happiness?

❤so much LOVE for this book❤💜❤
I loved Isobel and Rhys!! They may have gotten off to a rocky start but it soon became clear they were meant to be.
They had a bit too overcome from the past and trust issues. And while they got HEA my heart broke completely as it felt like after all they went through to be together, they that got burned. I kept hoping in the epilogue it would be different.
I know that's reality of life at times but it wasn't what I saw coming of hoped for this family who stole my heart.I
Lovely seeing again John and Sam, Evie and Gabriel, and the brothers (Richard, Adam and Allan first time). And theoretical into book 5.
As for for the narration I loved it. The coinciding between chapters of the female and male narrators was perfection and it's the first time I've seen it done as such and wish more authors who used dual narrators did it this way. Bravo!!
