Interesting history - with notable omissions

I found all the chapters interesting and well read, however, without a chapter on the Cold War and in particular the Vietnam War and finally the 2nd Iraqi and Afghan war, and the divided nature of American society I think it fails to provide insight into how America is viewed by the rest of the world.
