About this listen

After the Seelie king Torin nearly froze me to death, I plunged through a portal into my true home. Turns out, my hometown is a wild Unseelie kingdom known as the Court of Sorrows. When Torin follows me and sees my new horns, he quickly realizes that his intended bride is an enemy of his realm. In fact, his name for my kind is "demon."

But even if I have the horns of an Unseelie, I'm not welcome here, either. Queen Mab and her monstrous soldiers are delighted to torment us, accusing me of being a traitor. If we want to get out of the Court of Sorrows with our lives, the only hope we have is to stay as close to each other as possible--even if it means fleeing on horseback and sharing a bed. Every moment is bittersweet since it could be our last--and Torin is condemned to kill anyone he loves.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music! Performed by Taylor Coan, Alex Hill-Knight, Nazia Chaudhry, Scott McCormick, Colleen Delany, John Kielty, Stephanie Németh-Parker, Jenna Sharpe, Zeke Alton, Michael John Casey, Torian Brackett, Jasmine Hyde, Eric Messner, Yasmin Tuazon, Terence Aselford, Marni Penning and Karen Novack.

a good read

the story line was fairly solid and it's a good read/listen.

however I think the Voice actors were cast completely wrong. it's mentioned that the Characters are around 26 years old but the voice actors sounded more ewrly 40's to 50's.

also the voice actor of Ava was a bad cast, she fit well for Rhiannon in Fourth Wing but her voice is super annoying for a main character.

the magic also came too fast the character didn't have to really learn to control it or master it.

Great Story, Poor Choice of Voice Actors & Missing Parts

I really enjoyed the story but I have a some bones to pick.

1. The choice of voice actors were not suited to the characters, they sounded much older than what the characters are meant to be.

2. There was no voice actor present for Modron. During Modrons parts it would just be silence which was quite annoying.

3. It was missing chapters 44 & 45 - I understand that this is a dramatised version of the story but never have I ever had a dramatised story end earlier than it should have unless there was a part 2 or 3.

If you want to listen to this book I’d probably recommend buying the non dramatised version and hoping they provide you the full story.
