Wow

I’ve heard of James Patterson and his books for years - this is the first one I’ve read - I now know what the fuss is about.

A terrifically intricate story and outstanding delivery.

Great story but bad narration.

I persevered with this book as I liked the story but found it very hard to cope with the different volumes in the narration. Over and over I had to rewind to hear what was being said by the criminal character.
I did get the next book in the series Kiss the Girls but the same problem happened in the narration and I returned the book. Shame it was getting interesting.

Loved every minute of my first audio book

Have read some more in the series, but needed to come back to the beginning of it all, lays great foundations for the characters and the following books … well and truly hooked.

What a great story and performance

I first read this around 15 years ago and remember really enjoying it, this started my love of the Alex Cross and later Michael Bennett series. I had forgotten how good it really was, an absolute classic and now with the performance of Ako Mitchell it's even better, after about half an hour I thought he had always been Alex Cross he suited him so well.
