Publisher's Summary
Using a new Legendary treasure-seeking card, Arthur and Brixaby travel to an unknown kingdom in search of a way to defeat the scourglings.
They arrive in a land both familiar and strange. A continent where there have been no dragons for generations. One where human civilization now exists in shrinking cities that are increasingly squeezed in by dead lands. Here, the bold and desperate risk it all for the promise of cards.
Arthur, Brixaby, and their newly reunited retinue will need every trick they can pull from their decks. In the core of the city rests the dark heart of an ancient scourgling eruption—and it’s reawakening.
This once-in-a-decade opportunity offers new powers, secrets to the origins of scourglings, and high-level cards for the taking… for those brave enough to delve deep, and survive.
It may also be the key for Arthur to complete his Master card set.

Critic Reviews
“Honour Rae’s All the Skills has everything I love: great writing, an intriguing mystery, and badass dragons. Well, some of them are badass. Some are dweebs, and that makes it even more awesome. And the audio is some of Luke Daniels’s finest work.” —Matt Dinniman, bestselling author of Dungeon Crawler Carl

Wonderful, a step up
I had to force myself to read this slowly, and I still finished it in three sittings. Utterly addictive, it might be my new favourite in the series so far. I don't know how I'm going to wait for the next one!

The more you read the better it gets!
For the first 1/3 of book 1 I forced myself to stick with it and I am so glad that I did, by the end of book four I am so upset that I have too wait for the next book. The performance is amazing, I don’t think that I have heard the same voice for two different characters.
This series is up there with my top favourites.

Oh wow. What a ride!
So this entire series just go really, really interesting. I mean, it was super cool before, this book in particular expands the lore and backstory in ways which had me speedreading through the pages.
A basic summary would be that our two heroes (one man, one dragon) portal to a new city and decide to delve a dungeon there. The entirety of the book is dedicated to learning the new ways of the city, and then doing said dungeon diving. At first, I was a little disappointed by this. Some of the writing and descriptions of the city and inhabitants felt a little... lazy. But then we hit a moment where it was clear that everything had been written for a reason, and it all got interesting, real fast.
Look. If you're reading a review for book 4, it's pretty obvious you already enjoy this series. Rest assured that it's good (better) than the books before it, and well worth the dollars spent.

No stakes
I love this series, and love Brixaby in particular, but this books plot wasn't for me. It seemed like a lot of filler, and mostly a diversion from the actual plot. Almost like a side quest, that was boring. And the integration of our world was terrible. I'll still be buying the next in the series of course, I just hope it gets back on track, as the first 3 were all perfection!
