About this listen
Federal Agent Lucas Beaumont has an agenda - get himself assigned to the case of the apparent serial murders at Lancaster Falls, find out who the murderer is, and then lay the ghosts that haunt his grandfather to rest. In the midst of a horrific murder investigation, the only peace he gets is from simple moments in a warm kitchen, talking to hotel owner, Josh. Attraction to the easygoing man is something he didn't expect; in doing so, he opens himself to hurt, but at the same time, he begins to fall in love.
Josh is struggling to keep the Falls Hotel, even with every cent he has invested in its upkeep. The one thing keeping him above water is the not entirely legal work he does on the side - a steady income that not even his son knows about. When the FBI takes over his hotel for the duration of the Hell's Gate serial killer case, Josh is faced with the real possibility that Lucas will not only discover his secret but also steal his heart.
When tragedy hits Josh and his son, and when it seems all hope is lost, can Lucas rescue them both?
Contains mature themes.

Gripping conclusion to a great series!
In this final book in the Lancaster Falls trilogy, FBI Special Agent Lucas Beaumont arrives in the small town to help with the investigation of all the missing people. As main suspects are murdered, Lucas and the team race to find the shadowy figure behind it all. This is just how I like my romance mysteries, heavy on the mystery with the romance just one important thread in the tapestry. This Twin-Peaks-type series has been gripping and the finale was totally worth the wait. RJ Scott managed to expertly ramp up the tense plot over the books, her characterisations were substantial, and the crimes serious. Sean Crisden was the perfect choice to voice these decent, serious men and he narrated the lighter and darker moments superbly.

A fitting ending
I’ve really enjoyed this series of thriller/murder mystery/m/m romance novels. Josh was the kind, funny and sexy gay single father of Harry and owner of the town’s historic hotel. Lucas, nerdy FBI agent who was only in town to get other agents set up to investigate the women’s bodies found in a hidden cave outside the town, meets up with Josh and Harry and finds himself in more involved than he could have ever imagined.
I’ve enjoyed each book and the exciting finish is great.

Finally some answers!
Excellent narration of murder mysteries happening in a town for many years with deviant Mayor, corrupt Sherrif, a Bank Manager blackmailing people. Then a young man who had lived in this same town returned after having worked in Chicago as a Detactive, noticed many things not being done by the old Sherrif, that he stepped up and started trying to sort all of the strange going on. The Series is in three parts and well worth buying.
