About this listen
It took me years to get over my fiance sleeping with another woman. I thought my luck with men had finally turned around until I walked in on my new fiance with my maid-of-honor.
I'm done with men entirely. I'm definitely old enough to know better than to let that happen to me again. Trust isn't something I have in me to give...to anyone. At least, not anymore. Besides, even if I wanted to give someone my everything, I have nothing left to give. Now, if Walker could be less handsome, his relationship with his nephew not quite as sexy, and his body...well, let's not get crazy. His body is just a gift to womankind.
The moment I laid eyes on Ellie, I knew she'd be full of spit and vinegar. And why wouldn't she be? She'd just caught her fiance with her maid of honor - and they weren't chatting about the upcoming nuptials. I can't help but push her buttons. Maybe having her work for me in my vet clinic wasn't the smartest move I've ever made considering I can't stop my body from aching for her. She said she was done with men entirely, that she's broken, but I can't help but hope that she realizes she's all I need.
Contains mature themes.

A wonderful happy story with a good bit of spice
I really enjoyed it! A nice easy listen, with humour that had me laughing and spice that had me….well… you get the idea.
The story line was a bit two dimensional and I felt the ending a little cheesy. But overall a nice happy story.
The Narrators did a great job!

I liked this from start to finish.
Lynn Barrington is great as Ellie.
Alexander Cendense felt too rushed and his interpretation of female voices reminds me of the viral TikTok voice over.
The story is beautiful.
I did not see the twist coming, and I should have.
Walker and Ellie's relationship is so sweet and Walker's relationship with his nephew was awesome.
I really liked Polly.

Voice
Unfortunately for me I did not enjoy this book. The male Story tellers voice as a woman was awful. Made me cringe

Bad narration
Awful narration. Especially Miss Polly. Couldn’t get into the story because of it. Stopped within a few minutes

Unfinishable
The characters are so two dimensional. The male lead’s only personality trait is ‘good with kids’ and the female lead’s is ‘trust issues’. Literally impossible to care whether they live or die. After I hit the twist I had had enough.
