Much better than the movie

Suspenseful, thrilling, a horrific and utterly enticing story filled with symbolism and life sought questions

Novelisation of the movie

It wan interesting to think this was a novelisation of the movie not the other way around.
Listening to the story, I picked up much of the story details than I did watching the movie. If I was to make an ordering recommendation, I’d say listen to the audiobook first, then see the movie.
Warning Spoiler: I do wonder why there weren’t any random neomorphs in the forest - did they all die of starvation?

Great series

The story was great and the narrator good, his interpretation of a female voice was a bit off but didn't ruin the story at all

Excellent

An awesome story, I have not read any of the others in this series to date. Will look forward to reading them soon. Enjoy characters and narration.

Good novelisation, poor reader.

It does well to put the movie to the page / ear, and there a bits and pieces i noticed here i didnt in the film.

Only downside was the reader. The voice is ok to listen to however for me no effort was made to read with emotion and the characters voices all blurred together.

Great narration and fast-paced story

This was one of the better Alien books I’ve listened to. I thought the narration was skilled and the story was suspenseful, which is what you want in this kind of book. I admit that I skipped through the sections with gory details. In particular I enjoyed the interactions between Walter and David. And it’s always great to have a strong female protagonist.

Great story, but the delivery was a bit bland

It was a really good story and the narrator has a really good voice, but the delivery was a bit flat. It was read rather than acted. E.g. the pace and tone was the same whether he was describing how the cargo lift worked or describing an alien eating someone’s face. It needed a bit more emotion maybe.

Good book version of movie

How could the performance have been better?

Hahahah, the narrator needs to stop trying to do female voices, especially when the female is "shouting"... I honestly laughed out loud every single time he did a shouting female voice.... at least it was entertaining (although not in the good way haha)>
Otherwise, his narration was good.

Loved it

Just like the movie, but better! I love that the novelisation expands on characters and story. However the narrators execution of female screaming is pretty funny! He's got a strange idea of what a female sounds like when in distress (you'll know when you hear him). Otherwise a good book to expand the universe
