Very Promising Author

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The main characters were solid, very well defined and established but at times considering how long the series is, the lesser characters except for a couple were just ignored or dumped like trash.

What didn’t you like about Emily Gittelman’s performance?

EVERYTHING , I worked in the industry for over 20 years and I'm sorry to say, I have no idea how Emily ever got a gig. If you can't do accents then do not attempt them. There were constant pauses mid sentence, I kept expecting a surprise or twist but no, she just continued on where you knew there was no comma or full stop???? The inflections were terrible, as was a lot of enunciation. The story was interesting enough though for me to block out her voice as much as possible but I'll never listen a book with her reading ever again. This seriously detracted from the novels and I feel for the author Terra Harmony big time.

What character would you cut from Akasha?

None at all but there needed to be more focus on the lesser characters as they played an integral part and just kept vanishing on mass. Either include them more or don't engage with them enough to start getting you interested in them.

Any additional comments?

I know this is referred to as a saga and yes it is and a good one at that, but a good editor could have cut at least one quarter or fifth from each book in total before publication, but it would have to be done properly, hence my comment above re lessor characters. I did enjoy the story but that whining voice is stuck in my head. I mean no disrespect here either but such a strong main character just would not speak like that, it was embarrassing having a 20 something powerful female character speaking like a 15 year old valley girl, which I think was the biggest and most important mistake about the entire Audiobook. Emily was just not suited to read this book. If it was under direction from the producer/director then shame on them.

If you don't want to print this entire honest review then don't print any of it please.
