About this listen

Each culture has its own myths and legends, but only one is shared, and it is feared by all.

With Age of Myth, Age of Swords, and the New York Times best-selling Age of War, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan riveted fans with a tale of unlikely heroes locked in a desperate battle to save humankind. After years of warfare, humanity has gained the upper hand and has pushed the Fhrey to the edge of their homeland, but no farther. Now comes the pivotal moment.

Persephone’s plan to use the stalemate to seek peace is destroyed by an unexpected betrayal that threatens to hand victory to her enemy and leaves a loved one in peril. Humanity’s only hope lies in the legend of a witch, a forgotten song, and a simple garden door.

Masterpiece

This series just keeps getting better. It finished too quickly. I am clinging for the next one.

Still loving this series and still angry about the last book…. Even now

Honestly this series is excellent I’m powering through these books, and after who we lost in the last book I’m honestly developing GOT style anxiety at the same time.
Great series, great narration and the character development is excellent

Another quick one, so good

Dialogue continues to delight but narration lacks distinctiveness so narration should have a little more speaker attribution the help out in audiobook format

This book links two very different trilogies

Book 4 is where (in my opinion) things start going wrong for the series. Characters like Persephone and our mystic too start making - well, er, completely stupid decisions! It's so unlike them - and all because they're being steered to tell another story completely off course. That being said I liked the quest feel- our party set out and encounter some supernatural elements, are distrustful of one another, and unsure of their abilities. Relationships are tested, Ends with a cliffhanger which got me straight onto book 5, but I was not as enthusiastic as with previous endings because I did not like where things were going!

Excellent

I’m enthralled with Michael Sullivan’s series. This book once again couldn’t be put down. I love the characters and I feel invested in their success. Onto book 5 now but I reckon my husband will be happy when I finish the series as he can’t get me to listen while I’m into my book. Fantastic narration again by Tim Gerard Reynolds who is definitely one of the best narrators ever.
