About this listen
When Connie discovers that Jimmy Diamond, her husband of more than twenty years, is planning to leave her for his office junior, her world is turned upside down. Determined to salvage her pride, she resolves to get her own back. Along with Della, Jimmy's right-hand woman at his cleaning firm, Diamond Shine, and the cleaners who meet at the Sunflower Café, she'll make him wish he had never underestimated her.
Then Connie meets the charming Brandon Locke, a master chocolatier, whose kindness starts to melt her soul. Can the ladies of the Sunflower Cafe help Connie scrub away the hurt? And can Brandon make her trust again?©2015 Milly Johnson (P)2015 Simon & Schuster UK

Great Story with Satisfying Ending
Milly Johnson has done it again
Her story here keeps the listener engaged throughout and wanting to hear what happens next
Yes in the real world the plot has unlikely aspects throughout but for anyone who has been wronged or betrayed, this story provides a great ending that I still a renewed sense of natural justice
Colleen Prendergast is as usual a brilliant narrator although her Eastern European accent is weird!
I highly recommend this audiobook

payback at its best
I've only recently discovered Milly Johnson and I shall be binging on her books for the next few weeks. the narration is perfectly done as well. Being a cleaner in the past I think I have met all those characters at some time or another. so relative and the humour is wonderful.

Disappointed
I really enjoy Milly Johnson's books, they are lighthearted and fun with strong female characters and a nice moral where bad guys get their comeuppance.
Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe missed the mark. While some of the ladies were written well others felt far to old-fashioned and weak willed. I would not bother with his story again yet I have relistened to several other titles many times.
The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew and The Perfectly Imperfect Woman are 2 of my favourites.
Sorry Milly this one was not up to scratch.
