After the storm, it's time for a fresh start....
The powerful and heart-stirring new novel by the Sunday Times best-selling author of Unexpected Lessons in Love.
First, the clouds...
Tara Hunter is a therapist on a mission to restore Longhampton's community spirit after catastrophic flooding. But with her boyfriend AWOL, her family fragmented and only a cat for company, Tara's own life's on rocky foundations.
Then the storm...
Dr David Dalloway is Longhampton Wellness Centre's new star counsellor. He invites pets to session. He also has a knack of reading people's minds - which is the last thing Tara needs right now.
And after the rain....
Charismatic architect Keith Hunter was last seen in Longhampton 20 years ago, when he walked out on 10-year-old Tara and her twin brother, Toby. But now he's back, with a surprising offer that could change everything. Is a bigger storm on the horizon? Or is this Tara's chance to rebuild her broken past?

Not one of Lucy Dillon’s better works
I usually love the stories and characters in this fictional village but this book was rather a let down. I found the main character rather irritating and the story was boring and predictable.

Tedious in Every Way
Unfortunately this novel unfolds in a slow and dreary fashion throughout
A weird plot line included a dog and cat language speaking psychologist- that just exacerbated my impatience with this audiobook
The reader is truly monotonous- which fits the book
Lucy Dillon has written far better novels than this one
