About this listen
Undead and vegan? Not the afterlife this girl had planned.
Waking up thin is one thing. But waking up gaunt, hangry, and undead makes for a very bad day. Mallory's killer better hide, because she's just discovered blood, meat, and dairy don't agree with her, and a future with no cheese is grim indeed. She's out to find her killer...and maybe a vegan cheese that doesn't melt her nose hairs.

Predictable but very funny and well presented.
I predicted the killer straight away; and when it was revealed it was so smooth and convenient that it didn’t feel realistic. However; this book is charming and funny and makes up for that (potentially) predictable element. I liked the characters, protagonists growth, the lore. It’s not Shakespeare or Ian McEwan; so it’s more of a guilty pleasure type of book if you’re in the mood. I did enjoy it- and I’m hoping the narrator was commissioned to do the rest of the series as she did a great job. I will continue reading the series- it was fun.

Fun and a bit silly, no regrets
The first couple of chapters she sounds like she's gonna just whinge the whole time, but persist through it and you'll reach a cute adventure story. I've raced through all the series available on audible and so hope more will be available. I laughed, I was distracted from real life, and I was left wanting more. Not remotely literature, but not as badly written as many of the cosy mystery genre. Agree it's predictable but that's sort of comforting sometimes. The sword is my fave character.
