About this listen
The great hunt is over. In the end, Timothy managed to keep his invaluable prize. A victory? Perhaps. But glory and adrenaline are very powerful narcotics, and tolerance builds quickly. Once deprived of them, life immediately becomes gray and bleak. What's more, his beautiful lover is beginning to transparently hint that she could find herself a more interesting beau.
What is a talented player to do in this case? The solution suggests itself: rush headlong into the most dangerous adventures, taking risks and walking the blade of a knife. Timothy must do everything in his power to survive in places where making a clean escape is entirely impossible, delighting the viewers with his utterly unique playing style and proving decisively to his lady that his previous success was no mere coincidence.
Will it be hard?
Very!
But old reliable friends are still by his side, and that means victory is possible.

Engaging, Excellently Performed
This was one of those audiobooks you just have trouble stopping. Engaging story and character driven plot really makes it a worthwhile listen.

good book - some over the top reactions though
im assuming the author has only ever had bad bosses in their life as every corporate employee above the main character is an offensive bully.
otherwise awesome book

More of the same
If you liked the first two books, you'll enjoy this. Same popcorn fun adventure, with a slightly deepening plot and intrigue building in the real world.
Occasional story decisions seemed forced, but I could look past the occasional weird item drops or decisions because the MC would need 'X' item a few chapters later. Overall, this is a very above average series - not in my top five, but worth a listen.

Not enjoying this one
First 2 books were reasonably solid, I'm a few hours into this one and had to turn it off. I couldn't get past the mc and his in game npc wife, first she is somehow contacting him outside of the game in real life and the company hasn't picked up on this and hasn't raised any red flags? Second their relationship is annoying me and doesn't seem to add anything to the book just create problems. Third is the mc himself, his boss is putting pressure on him to play his role in the game properly, which is great and should have been happening this whole time but he has managed to get away with it but it's becoming an issue in terms of the story might be hard to fix and I'm concerned that the author will just magically fix it.
I don't know as I don't intend on continuing to listen to this book.
