About this listen
Change is the only constant
Returning to the Verdant Green Waters sect over a decade after his exile, Wu Ying finds his position and place within the Sect in flux. Strong enough to be an Elder but not having achieved his rank via the normal methods, he has jealous and worried rivals to contend with. It is reminiscent of his own past, but now, he's an Elder and able to enact transformation in a broader sense.
Wu Ying must find his own place in the sect or leave it once and for all. The cultivation wounds he received in the south trouble him, and it will require time and resources - resources the Sect is able to provide - for him to stabilize his footing before he continues his climb to ascension. As with all things, immortality is never easy to grasp.
A Thousand Li: the Fourth Stage is the tenth book of the xianxia series, A Thousand Li. It begins the final arc of Wu Ying's journey to immortality, the trials and tribulations he faces and the leg of his journey. Tao Wong is the bestselling author of the System Apocalypse, Hidden Wishes and Adventures on Brad series.

another sold addition
Tao wong strikes again.
another addition to the thousand li series.
experience once again life in the sect.
tao wong has always been excellent at writing a story that feels so authentic in an surreal fantasy setting. I would if I could a the slice of life genre to these books as that is what this series feels like. we follow character living out there life, and that life so happens to be a thrilling and exciting story for us to see.

worst in the series
still enjoy the story, but it's too short. there's no adventure. he even visits an old powerful acquaintance on a mountain but we don't get any of that conversation. feels rushed and not true to the rest of the series. lots of conversations without the context, as if we listened to all the previous books just yesterday. could have spent hours more regarding his new endeavour. could have detailed a fated adventure instead of giving it a single sentence... given that the short stories sell for the same as a full book this all just seems more business at this point than an author with a passion.
